Based in East London and working across the UK and internationally, Artsadmin supports artists, communities and collaborators in the development and production of work that explores the space between social and environmental justice. With new leadership first time in their 40 year history, Artsadmin undertook a strategic review with our sister company wove.co to help align the team around impact, define the models that supported their work, and develop sustainable ways forward.
Their work connects artists, communities and audiences with creativity and care. We brought this idea to every aspect of our work with them, including the process. Undertaking a series of workshops we gathered team members, audience members, artists and community partners to help co-create the thinking, ideas and approaches that would define the brand. This process led to a brand idea that is all about inter-connection and inclusion - of subjects, artforms, communities and people.
We developed a brand system with accessibility, inclusivity and creative expression at its heart. Colours and typography were considered for their legibility for an audience with a wide range of needs. Simple language, rooted in the reader makes information more inclusive. A toolkit with a wide range of hand drawn marks and easy to use templates provided the organisation with a flexible and energetic language that empowers their team and their collaborators.
